I had the opportunity to provide direct patient care in my role as a caregiver, working with long-term residents within the memory care unit of Brookdale Senior Living. I assisted in bathing, ambulation, feeding, and other activities of daily living, gaining powerful skills in redirecting confused and agitated patients by employing effective de-escalation techniques..
