I am an engineer specialising in Motorsport aerodynamics and electronics. I have a considerate amount of diverse professional experience in both two wheels and four racing. From design, development and trackside operations positions. Trackside Systems and Electronics Engineer primarily responsible for the Software and MESL SECU setup of the race cars and other garage systems. This role also encompasses the following - Sensor and System Calibration - Car Build and Testing of On Car Systems - In session running of the chassis electronics - Working Closely with Renault Sport F1, Red Bull Technology and FOM - Fault and Reliability Analysis - FIA Consultation - Garage Electrical setup along with some Radio and IT support During 2014 I have been responsible for Car 10, running K.Kobayashi, A.Lotterer C.Merhi and W.Stevens during the final round and test (Car 9) Reasons for leaving was the collapse of the team
During the 2013 racing season I worked as a Race Engineer for the British Superbike Team, Tsingtao Racing, I was responsible for the setup of the team's bikes racing in the British Superbikes Series competing in Superbike, Supersport, Superstock 600 and Triumph Triple Challenge classes. As well as these championships I was also the race engineer numerous one off events such as the Isle of Man TT and the Ulster GP where the team ran the world’s first Chinese manufactured motorcycle to race at these world famous road racing events. I gained extensive experience with MOTEC data acquisition software I2 Pro as well as MOTEC ECU M800 and M170's. I was responsible for working on both the engine and chassis setup and in consultation with Ohlins suspension engineers and riders to optimise the bikes performance. Additionally I gained experience managerial experience running a team of mechanics and being responsible for a lot of the logistics of running a national level motorcycle racing team with 15 members of staff.
I completed a 16 month internship during my degree between years 2 & 3 in the Aerodynamics department working as a junior aerodynamicist as well as model designer following aerodynamic development in the wind tunnel focussing on the floor area.
