Experience

  • Executive Assistant to CEO / Founder, 总裁助理 at 中侨(浙江)现代农业发展有限公司
    May 2025 - Aug 2025 · 4 mos

Under SMU’s Global Innovation Immersion Programme, I undertook a fully funded internship at a startup in China, in partnership with Tsinghua University’s Yangtze Delta Region Research Institute, and supported by Enterprise Singapore and the Andy Chua & Family China Innovation Immersion Award. As an intern, I: - Conducted technological experiments and market research on cold chain logistics and export strategies (China → Singapore), contributing to the company’s international expansion roadmap. - Coordinated bilingual (English–Chinese) communication with overseas clients, drafting decks, proposals, and strategic correspondence for global stakeholders and competition applications. - Managed the CEO’s workflow through scheduling, briefing notes, and follow-up tracking to ensure timely and effective decision-making. - Produced and edited a corporate campaign video, saving the company ~RMB 8,000 in outsourced production costs while delivering professional-grade storytelling for overseas partners. - Gained firsthand agricultural and farming experience through fieldwork in bayberry cultivation and logistics, cultivating perseverance, adaptability, and an enduring work ethic. Once confined to domestic markets, China’s iconic bayberry embodied the challenge of turning agricultural excellence into global reach. Its perishability made long-distance export unsustainable — sea shipments dulled its sweetness, while air freight was costly and unsustainable. With strong national backing, we are the first in China to develop preservation technology that locks in the fruit’s freshness for up to 25 days, enabling it to cross borders in peak condition. This breakthrough not only advances sustainable agri-innovation, but also revitalizes Lishui’s rural economy(one of China’s lowest-GDP regions) by securing global demand and stable farmer incomes. Beyond commerce, it marks a paradigm shift where tech, sustainability, and social progress converge to redefine China’s agricultural future.
