I am a diligent self starter, continuous learner, who relishes in the opportunity to take on new and exciting challenges. As a recent graduate I’m looking to start my career with an organization that is willing to invest in me as much as I’d invest in them. My goal is to earn my DNP in Psychiatric Nursing and I am looking to expand my knowledge with people, companies, and to find a mentor(s) to help guide me along my path.
I provide assistance with ADL's, group therapy and provide patients with a empathetic ear. I preform EKGs, venipuncture, and vital sings. Assist nurses when needed.
I work with the severely mentally ill, those that struggle with substance abuse, coming out of homelessness, and those that were formally incarcerated. As a case manger I provide assistance with apply for benefits of many varieties, help with completing housing application, provide links to primary and behavioral health care in the community, and housing referrals to formally homeless adults diagnosed with serious mental Illness/or substance abuse disorder; assisting in identifying strengths, needs, abilities, and goals and create related Support Plans and client related meetings; timely completion of required documentation for every client contact as per agency policy; ensuring documentation meets regulatory guidelines for level of care; co-facilitating groups if requested in areas including but not limited to wellness, leadership, housing, stability, employment and education, relationships, and healthy decision making. Assisting in preparing program for audits,; providing crisis intervention as necessary; documentation and incident reporting; liaising with other departments, and outside agencies, ability to work with consumers/residents,families, and staff. in a caring and respectful manner, and with due understanding of and consideration for cultural differences; and conducting apartment inspections on multiple floors. Provide escorts to clients throughout the community utilizing public transportation immediately reporting incidents, incident allegations, incidents, or sensitive situations to supervisors; completing incident reports in accordance with my company's policy. I account for consumers preforming diligent searches, and filling missing person reports on consumers not accounted for in accordance with policy and procedure; attending staff meetings, supervision and training as required , any other duties as may be assigned.
