Dubai, United Arab Emirates
I’m an English and Geography teacher with a love for stories, learning, and making classrooms feel like safe, inspiring spaces. Over the past few years, I’ve had the joy of teaching in both Ireland and Dubai - starting in vibrant, multicultural schools back home before heading to the UAE in 2024, where I now teach IGCSE and IAL English Literature and Language at Capital School. Switching between the Irish and British curricula has been such a rewarding challenge. It’s expanded my perspective, sharpened my subject knowledge, and introduced me (and my bookshelf!) to a whole new world of texts. At the heart of my teaching is connection. I believe students thrive when they feel seen, heard, and encouraged to be curious. My lessons aim to be creative, inclusive, and genuinely engaging, and outside the classroom, I love running book clubs and creative writing sessions to help students find their voices beyond the exam. I also lead wellbeing initiatives at school, which means I get to work closely with students and staff to support the “whole person,” not just their academic journey, but their emotional one too.
