Burlington, Vermont, United States
Physicist, researcher, and student leader. Originally from Spain, I came to the United States to pursue my education and recently graduated magna cum laude from Gettysburg College with a B.S. in Physics and a minor in Mathematics. This fall, I will begin a Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Vermont. My research interests include computational physics, molecular dynamics, and the simulation of complex systems. Outside of research, I enjoy bringing people together through leadership and service, having served as Student Body President, Resident Assistant, Tour Guide, and advisor to the Society of Physics Students. I am passionate about both physics and people, and I hope to build a career that allows me to contribute to both.
Research Assistant in the Powers lab. Focused on simulation programming and results analysis. Developed both Fortran and Python code to run and analyze TINKER Molecular Dynamics simulations. Presented my research at the X-SIG Poster Session.
Tour guide in the Admissions Office. This role has helped me spread my love for the College while also improving my interpersonal skills and helping me develop new connections with prospective students and their families.
Student Lead in our retail dining locations, managing groups of students in both opening and closing positions and working closely with supervisors.
Alumni Chairperson for my fraternity. Organized both parent and alumni newsletters as well as events like alumni reunions and homecoming weekends.
