Naast freelance docent ben ik binnen de organisatie ook actief als lid van de: curriculumcommissie, opleidingscommissie, stagebegeleider (MBO & HBO) en als examinator (AVV/MBO4). De Dutch Filmers Academy (DFA) en de Nederlandse Fotovakschool zijn onderdeel van De Nederlandse Academie voor Beeldcreatie. De DFA leidt creatieve allround filmmakers op in een veranderende maatschappij waar (digitale) audiovisuele media een prominente rol speelt. De Dutch Filmers Academy is het eerste opleidingsinstituut in Nederland met erkende opleidingen gericht op AV storytelling en nieuwe media, waarbij creativiteit en nieuwe technieken samenkomen. Film en Audiovisuele Media zijn niet meer weg te denken in de wereld en krijgen een steeds belangrijkere rol bij het vertellen van een verhaal. Naast film voor het grote publiek in de bioscoop, televisie en on demand nemen ook opdrachtfilms hierin ook een grote vlucht. Gevolg hiervan is een groeiende vraag naar nieuwe allround filmers met een eigen visie op film. Met de opleidings-variant Film en Audiovisuele Media wordt de gretige vraag van bedrijven vervuld. Het geeft je de ruimte je te ontplooien tot een creatieve allround filmer die werkt vanuit visie en onderscheidend vermogen. Tijdens de opleiding is er veel ruimte voor het ontwikkelen van alle technische vaardigheden met betrekking tot onderwerpen als script writing, cinematografie, locatiescouting, casting, research, productie, filmtechnieken, beeldbewerking, montage en sound. Verder besteden we aandacht aan achtergronden als filmgeschiedenis, cultuurfilosofie en communicatie, analyse van film en audiovisuele media, maar ook aan vooruitzichten zoals cultureel ondernemerschap, financiering, (film)marketing en multimedia. De opleidingen bestaan uit Audiovisuele Vormgeving/Mediavormgever op MBO4 niveau en Film en Audiovisuele Media (FAM) op HBO niveau. We leven in een beeldcultuur, waarin beeldtaal steeds belangrijker wordt. Bij Foto- en Filmdesign niveau 4 staan beeld en vormgeving centraal. Als mediavormgever speel je een belangrijke rol in het ontwerpen en realiseren van allerlei (audiovisuele of interactieve) media-uitingen. Je weet hoe je een boodschap overbrengt bij de doelgroep en kunt dit ook in de praktijk brengen. Je leert bij deze opleiding beeldend denken en kijken met de blik van een fotograaf. Je volgt immers niet voor niets een opleiding bij de Fotovakschool. Sterke punten van jou als mediavormgever zijn ondermeer creativiteit, beeldend vermogen, sociale vaardigheid en klantgerichtheid. Als vormgever werk je met media waarin beeld en geluid centraal staan. Je maakt bijvoorbeeld computeranimaties, av-producties, documentaires, reclamespotjes en videopresentaties. Naast beheersing van het vak is het belangrijk dat je als zelfstandig ondernemer je werk kunt verkopen en kunt werken op basis van een ondernemingsplan.
Animen is a high end studio for compositing, 2 & 3D animations, SFX, motion graphics and (Corporate) video productions based in Amsterdam. We produce high end video- and animation content. Animen develops and produces mainly for national television, documentary films, commercials, leaders, bumpers, station calls and corporate films. In addition, our specialty is the creation and implementation of 3D, SFX, animations, motion graphics, motion tracking and other digital effects. Our customers consist of enterprises (corporate), broadcasters, production companies, cultural institutions and museums, non-profit NGO’s, foundations and associations, (semi) government and other public sector. In addition, we recently developed a proprietary system to personalize video messages using a 'high end' level of compositing. Personal data can be generated automatically in to video’s and/or animations. Integrated with variables such as; text, photos, video, audio, tables, charts, infographics and motion design our system sends out these video’s as part of your company’s application fields such as; customer services, loyalty and lead generation. As a freelance director and DoP I produce concepts, scripts & storyboards. I do on set directing, the directing of post-production and in my case I also work as director of photography (DoP). I work on corporate projects like: Staples Benelux, Ahold, Milner cheese, McDonalds, Treant Zorggroep and Topbloemen.nl. But I also made video productions for exhibitions like: ‘De Dode Zeerollen’ at 'The Drents Museum' in Assen and the exhibition: ‘Het geheugenpaleis–met je hoofd in de archieven’ for the Dutch National Archives. What does it take? The World champion in Castricum. Documentary (45 minutes). Production company: Pellevision. Director/Producer: Pelle Wybenga. In July of 2014 the New Zealand All Blacks sevens rugby team came to the little town of Castricum for a week of training at the local rugby club. The All Blacks sevens team is the most successful national sevens team of the world. Castricum rugby legend Mats Marcker met, when he was in New Zealand for a training course, the legendary All Blacks coach sir Gordon Tietjens and they became friends. The All Blacks sevens team won many prizes and are the 4 times winners of the Commonwealth games. With their current team they went again for the gold medal, this time in Glasgow. As former Castricum rugby players we were asked, me together with director and film editor Pelle Wybenga, to make a short (15 min.) film about the occasion. It became a 45 minute documentary about this training week of the All Blacks in Castricum. My role was 1st DoP and executive producer.
