About

Dedicated to lifelong learning, I’m constantly challenging myself to achieve SMART goals, develop skills, and pursue learning opportunities in both my professional and personal capacities. I was lucky to understand at a young age that my natural desire to analyze situations and help others was the driving force behind my passions for problem-solving and improving underlying issues. With a Master of Finance degree from Tulane University and 8 years of experience helping companies achieve operational success, I was recently enlightened to the benefits of developing my technical skills to expand my analytical career. I believe understanding data is critical to effectively managing problems, and I’m excited about my newest endeavors in SQL, DAX, XML, JSON, Java, R, and Python. I’m developing ways to access data like I couldn’t before.

  • Reporting Technical Analyst at MTAG Financial
    May 2016 - Nov 2018 · 2 yrs 7 mos

At MTAG Services, they manage specialized financial assets including tax liens, structured settlements, and REO assets for investors, municipalities, and institutions. They strive to be the most recognized and trusted Niche Asset Servicer in the country. In April of 2017, I was promoted from QA Analyst to Reporting Analyst at MTAG Services. On the Reporting & Analytics team, I was responsible for understanding our data, creating the primary product the company provided to clients, worked with clients to research, analyze, and problem solve any issues that arose with their portfolio reports, and acted as a primary point of contact for client facing services. I worked with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Power BI, Excel, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Access, and proprietary software daily to maintain the data integrity, report upon the underlying data, and provided analysis services for clients. I loved the problem solving, detail oriented, and analytical requirements of my prior positions. Transitioning to the Reporting & Analytics team was a natural progression for my career from the QA Analyst role. I strived to fine tune my analytical skills while building a strong technical foundation. In addition to SQL, I began my journey to explore Python and R coding to expand my data analysis skill set. As a QA Analyst, my role was integral to a number of operational processes where quality checks were required. I worked closely with the Reporting & Analytics team and assisted in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the comprehensive client reports. In addition to reporting, I completed reconciliations for client portfolios, scrubbed underlying data within the system, and worked with other teams to increase efficiency and effectiveness through process and data improvements.
