When the problem is unclear, everything drifts. Decisions stall. People work hard in different directions. Performance suffers for reasons no one can quite name. I work with CEOs, Performance Directors, and senior leaders in high-performing environments to cut through that; finding the real problem, building structure around it, and making sure better thinking actually holds under pressure. My work sits across three areas: - Performance systems: independent reviews and advisory work for Olympic programmes, national governing bodies, and professional sport organisations. Commissioned when clarity, alignment, or accountability is the issue. - Capability and learning: designing and delivering workforce development through the Strength and Conditioning Academy, including the Performance Support Review programme commissioned by the Women's Professional Game, and the IUSCA competency framework defining practitioner progression internationally across Levels 1 to 8. - Decision-support tools: co-founder of Clarity Insights Group and creator of Wayvora, an AI platform that captures real signals from everyday coaching and leadership practice, reveals patterns across teams and programmes, and enables leaders to act with precision rather than rely on anecdote and retrospective review. wayvora.ai Across 7 Olympic cycles and over 20 years in high-performance sport, the pattern is consistent: when the problem is clear, decisions improve, people align, and performance moves for the right reasons. If you are working in a complex environment and need clearer thinking, get in touch. alexwolf.co.uk
- Co-founded Clarity Insights Group and built Wayvora, an AI platform that captures real-world signals from everyday coaching and leadership practice, surfaces patterns across teams and programmes, and enables leaders to direct support with precision rather than rely on memory or retrospective review. - Built the Sense, See, Shape operating model underpinning the platform; designed to turn daily practice realities into organisation-wide development intelligence. - Serving elite sport environments and high-performance business organisations, with dedicated solutions for coach development, staff performance, and leadership decision-making. - Platform addresses the critical gap between what leaders are told is happening and what is actually emerging in practice; replacing anecdotal observation with evidence-based, real-time insight.
- Commissioned by Olympic programmes, national governing bodies, and professional sport organisations to deliver independent Performance Support Reviews; providing system-level clarity on performance culture, governance, and decision-making. - Work directly with CEOs and Performance Directors in post-Games and high-change environments where alignment, accountability, and strategic clarity are critical. - Commissioned as Project Consultant to the National Centre for Creativity enabled by AI (CebAI); contributing to the design of AI-enabled tools supporting creativity and innovation in complex organisational settings. - All work independent, non-operational, and systems-focused; designed to build internal capability rather than create dependency.
- Provide strategic oversight and statutory assurance within a multi-academy trust framework, with specific responsibility for safeguarding, equality, and accountability. - Work with the Headteacher and senior leaders to strengthen governance processes, risk management, and clarity of decision-making at board level.
- Provide independent governance oversight for a community education charity, supporting strategy, policy assurance, and long-term sustainability. - Contribute to board-level discussions on purpose, risk, and organisational resilience across education, community engagement, and operational delivery.
- Commissioned by the Women's Professional Game to design and deliver an ongoing Performance Support Review programme across WSL clubs; supporting Heads of Performance to improve coherence, alignment, and daily practice. - Designed the IUSCA competency framework for IQF Levels 1 to 8, defining how practitioner competence develops across scientific reasoning, judgement, decision-making, autonomy, and professional scope; now the international standard for S&C education design. - Built platform-level learning systems that move coaches from information to application, with a focus on real-world problem-solving and pattern recognition over content delivery.
