The role is truly hybrid and global. It includes CBO for Spotify’s Subscriptions Business (€8 billion business currently), CMO, Growth, Global Markets ie all of our 17 local teams in markets around the world, Business Development & Partnerships, Payments and Customer Service. As Chief Freemium Business Officer I report into our Co-Founder/CEO and I am responsible for our top-line metrics of MAU, SUBS and REVENUE for our consumer business. I am also responsible for developing our product propositions for both our premium subscriber product and our free proposition. I oversee a team of 1600 people that spans business, engineers, product, marketing and growth. Having been at Spotify for over 10 years, I’ve built the Subscriptions Business from a few hundred thousand subscribers to now more than 180 million subscribers (and over 380 millions total users, including our free product). The Freemium strategy has been one of our key sources of growth. I've overseen our growth from being in a 8 markets to 183 markets and handling more than 1 billion transactions over our payment rails and we have built marketing campaigns and storytelling that is widely treasured around the world (eg Wrapped every holiday).
I joined Jeremy, Sean and the Circle team as board member to help focus on the consumer proposition and growth of "the future of money". Launched USDC, one of the most used stablecoins in crypto.
I started and ran the FB games business. Today it has hundreds of millions of MAU and is known for household games franchises like Bubble Witch Saga and Candy Crush Saga.
I created the ad sales business (6 mm EUR) and I built the games publshing business that acquired and published over 200 indie games generating 4 mm monthly uniques to King.com.
As an advisor I helped develop Acne's e-commerce strategy. The online store has experienced strong international growth ever since and is now one of the main business areas at company.
Jetbox introduced refurbished consumer products in the Swedish retail market. We were nominated Innovator of the Year by The Swedish Recycling Industries' Assoc. Jetbox was shuttered in 2007.
