Furthermore, I directed 24/7 maintenance operations on critical infrastructure assets valued at $11.8 billion, spanning multiple facilities and encompassing various essential services such as fuel storage, power distribution, and transportation infrastructure. Additionally, I played a vital role in safeguarding the well-being of the DoD's largest OCONUS population of 66,000 personnel, providing essential Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Readiness, and Emergency Management support across 14 bases in eight nations.
I spearheaded Train, Advise, Assist initiatives aimed at enhancing construction planning, maintenance, and procurement capabilities for the Afghan Air Force. Serving as the Advisor to HQ Afghan Air Force Civil Engineers, I provided strategic counsel, facilitating the development and establishment of 560 engineers across 27 Afghan bases. Additionally, I directed the organization, training, and equipping of 26 Afghan Air Force Engineer Units and Fire Departments, managing equipment assets valued over $65 million, while overseeing critical infrastructure projects pivotal to the Afghan Aviation Transition and Recapitalization at three key installations.
I provided strategic leadership to a dedicated team of 21 military and civilian professionals, delivering essential Installation & Mission Support guidance to ACC Security Forces, Civil Engineer Emergency Services, and Crisis Action Team Liaison Officers. With oversight of critical programs such as ACC Prime BEEF, RED HORSE, EOD, Fire Protection, Emergency Management, and CBRN Modernization Defense, I ensured operational readiness and effectiveness. Additionally, I played a key role in initiating a $69 million modernization program for AF Fire & Emergency Services vehicles, enhancing ACC's capability and preparedness levels, while also managing the development of the Integrated Base Defense Program Objective Memorandum, identifying $63 million in requirements across 12 AF wings to meet future mission demands. As the lead ACC Crisis Action Team Liaison Officer for the Installation & Mission Support Center, I orchestrated logistics planning and resource allocation, ensuring readiness during critical events such as hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
