I am a furniture designer and maker who blends a creative vision with a precise, hands-on approach. With over 13 years of experience designing over 800 products, I partner with manufacturers, retailers, and clients to solve design challenges and deliver commercially successful furniture solutions. My approach ensures that designs are not just concepts, but are well-engineered, efficient, and crafted for longevity. I am confident in my ability to manage projects from initial idea to final delivery, always meeting deadlines and working strategically with budgets. My work is focused on three key areas: Strategic Design & Product Development: I leverage my technical experience and market awareness to identify new product opportunities and construct winning design strategies. My hands-on knowledge of manufacturing processes ensures every product is both innovative and commercially viable. Creative Direction: I provide creative guidance that transforms a vision into a competitive and profitable product line perfectly tailored to the middle to higher-end market. End-to-End Supply Chain Management: I streamline the path from concept to delivery. With extensive experience working directly with factories worldwide—particularly in Europe, East Africa, India, and Vietnam—I manage sourcing, sampling, production, and quality control to ensure high-quality, on-time results.
I serve as the primary technical expert managing the physical execution of a high-impact initiative to scale Rwanda’s furniture and creative industries. By merging global manufacturing experience with MASS’s mission for social justice, I support the growth of a sustainable, climate-positive creative economy through technical excellence and mentorship. Capacity Building: Lead in-studio workshops and on-site training at MASS.Made, focusing on design thinking, product development, and technical execution. Standards & Methodology: Support the establishment of structured testing methodologies, including mechanical properties assessment and life-cycle analysis, to quantify environmental impact. Prototyping & Production: Oversee the design, prototyping, and testing of high-quality, scalable furniture lines, integrating digital fabrication techniques to optimize production efficiency. SME Mentorship: Provide strategic coaching for youth-led SMEs and artisans, focusing on design reviews, business planning, and access to international market networks. Standard Development: Contribute technical expertise to the development of regional Regenerative Manufacturing Standards and maintain the Material Innovation Library for R&D outputs. Supply Chain Strategy: Research and map local, ethical supply chains for bio-materials to ensure transparent and stable sourcing for production.
