Sustainability of Major Sport Events
Summer internship assisting the head of the Foundation, I focused on his collaboration with the Asian Football Confederation, contributing to strategic meetings, as well as writing articles and executive summaries. In parallel, I received from him communication skills training. This experience strengthened my interest in the potential impact of football on education and my knowledge of sport governance.
One-month internship in the fundraising department. I transferred and organised the donor and prospect files into the new Foundation database on Salesforce. I then trained the team on this tool, to increase the long-term effectiveness of their fundraising efforts. I also studied the challenges the foundation faces in protecting women’s rights, most notably in sensitive countries like Afghanistan.
One-month internship in the fundraising department, during which I identified potential donors for scholarships and research in the Academy, as well as drafted a patron’s program.
Two-week internship attending meetings of the Human Rights Council and other satellite conferences, such as the review of a draft resolution on “Human Rights in Cities and Other Human Settlements”. This first-hand immersion gave me invaluable insight into the workings of the UN and the Human Rights Council in particular.
