• Developed super-resolution fluorescence microscopy tools for catalyst characterization • Discovered inefficient catalyst usage in several industrial and lab-made catalysts and proposed the optimization pathways • Managed and finalized three major research projects as a part of project "LIGHT: advanced Light mIcroscopy for Green cHemisTry" funded by European Research Council through Seventh Framework Programme • Established two international collaborations with the group of Inorganic Chemistry and Catalysis of Utrecht University (professor Bert Weckhuysen) and the group of Molecular Catalysis of TU Eindhoven (professor Emiel Hensen) • Established several internal interdisciplinary collaborations between Centre for Surface Chemistry and Catalysis and Division of Molecular Imaging and Photonics of KU Leuven • Published twelve peer-reviewed papers, including four as a first author (see full list below) • Presented my research at eight international scientific conferences (three oral presentations) • Won an FWO (Research Foundation - Flanders) Travel grant for participation in a conference abroad • Mentored and supervised five Master thesis students • Gave the practical exercises for the course of Advanced Fluorescence Microscopy • Build and expanded my expertise in following topics: fluorescence microscopy/spectroscopy, Raman microscopy/spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, NMR spectroscopy, electron microscopy, thermogravimetry, elemental analysis, surface measurements, chromatography, zeolites, metal-organic frameworks, heterogeneous catalysis, catalyst design and preparation, catalyst characterization
