Graduate teaching assistant for ECE 3741 - Instrumentation and Electronics Laboratory.
Served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Georgia Tech for ECE 2031 - Digital Design Lab. This is a lab based course in the school of Electrical and Computer Engineering focused on digital computing systems, designing digital circuits, combinatorial logic, VHDL, and more. I oversee and help students with VHDL, Assembly, digital design, and various hardware labs.
I am a peer instructor at our campuses multidisciplinary makerspace. I am trained in lasercutting, electronics (soldering, circuit design, etc), 3D printing, PCB fabrication, and various other machines at the space. I specialize in laser cutting and 3D printing, helping hundreds of students over the course of a semester.
Summer research intern on the Homeland Protection Systems team (Group 46).
- Undergraduate research assistant on Hybrid MVDC Circuit Breaker project utilizing supercritical CO2 (scCO2) as an alternative for the greenhouse gas SF6 - Created SOP and designed electrodes for high voltage breakdown study - Wrote SOPs and helped run experiments for material wear, arcing, voltage breakdown, and other various studies for disconnects in scCO2 - Wrote LabVIEW program for data collection during experiment - Ran experiments on piezoelectric actuator for high-speed switching and fault current detection
- Gained experience as a substation engineer, working with others to deliver power to customers in a footprint of four states and 500+ substations. - Analyzed and drew schematics and one-line diagrams for 35+ substations using AutoCAD software. - Completed the scoping and planning process for substation improvement projects, including obtaining and installing a new 25MVA transformer at a site in which the previous one failed. This included the sizing and purchase of surge arresters, disconnect replacements, CT replacements, and more. - Visited sites to analyze potential problems, worked with engineers on reporting these issues and make fixes for a more reliable grid and less outages.
