1. Gathers, analyses, and summarizes policies, procedures and other information; and otherwise undertakes factual investigations as requested by legal counsel; 2. Identifies and researches appropriate laws, judicial decisions, and other materials as requested, including licensing and registration, insurance regulations, and/or other legal topics, as applicable; 3. Provides summaries or legal citations as requested; 4. Organizes and tracks legal files, systems, matters, and/or corporate records as requested; 5. Monitors legal proceedings or regulatory requirements to ensure organization meets deadlines and pays applicable fees as requested; 6. Provides support to lawyers in responding to internal or external requests for information, including subpoenas, governmental information inquiries, and litigation discovery, as applicable; 7. Corresponds with external parties, including court system or regulatory agencies, as needed; 8. Prepares and updates department reports tracking legal matters; and 9. Assists the Secretary with corporate structure and corporate governance matters, as applicable. 10. Prepares pleadings (answers and certain motions), responds to discovery (both CMO and CCP), and ensures client compliance with settlement terms.
