Provide finance leadership, business partnering and guidance to global commercial, medical and access teams (ex-US) to maximize revenues, margins and patient reach to our innovative pipeline in Oncology, Cardiovascular Renal and Metabolic, Neuroscience and Immunology brands ($27b).
Conduct expert and detailed financial evaluation for Board, CEO/CFO-level on BD&L and M&A projects, negotiations, deal metrics, and all financial aspects of each BD&L and M&A deals. Act as the center of excellence and leadership for Finance and finance-related transactions.
Screening and negotiation of partnerships with external companies. Responsible for preparing all deal economics and financials. Successfully grew the partnering business by 3x ensuring 100m marketing and sales investments were allocated to priority brands. Supported an out-licensing deal in China resulting $1bn cumulative sales. Supervised 4 associates and indirectly 20 other associates from 30 countries.
In charge of the Strategic Plan, Budget, Legal Entity External/Internal Audits, Procurement, Supply Chain, Treasury and financial analysis. Together with the Iberia team consolidated Portugal and Spain under an integrated commercial model, including several restructuring programs. Improved working capital vs industry through hospital 1:1 negotiations and factoring.
