Commodity trader with over 10 years of experience across Latin America, Asia, and Europe, successfully transitioned from softs to agri-commodities. I’ve held trading and managerial roles in both origin and destination markets — from leading sourcing and industrial operations in Vietnam to managing sales and distribution across Europe. My dual exposure gives me a comprehensive view of the physical value chain and the commercial levers that drive performance. I deliver results by pricing physical flows strategically, identifying and capturing arbitrage opportunities, and optimizing logistics and freight execution with constant attention to risk exposure
Started as a Junior Trader supporting the consolidation of a Global meal book under a newly implemented value chain model. Worked closely with Middle Office to align position reporting with commercial needs, improving P&L visibility and MTM accuracy. Took early ownership of the Adriatic distribution book, growing market share through strategic pricing and optimized execution, while also supporting hedging of origination flows. After promotion, took on broader responsibilities and now coordinate EU soybean meal import flows working on capturing physical arbitrage opportunities, while optimizing logistics.
Led sourcing and FOB strategy for a 40,000MT/year export book while launching a new domestic sales outlet. Contributed to the commercial strategy by providing price recommendations to HQ, backed by quarterly crop tour reports that ensured decisions were grounded in timely and accurate market insights. Oversaw factory operations and improved cost tracking to drive operational efficiency and by-product valorization. Managed a cross-functional team across trading, logistics, and production.
Supported regional procurement across key Colombian coffee-producing areas (Risaralda, Tolima, Antioquia), monitoring the company’s physical position and inventories (FOB, by-products, low grades). Worked closely with Middle Office to streamline contract reconciliation and inventory tracking. Initiated and built automated reporting tools (weekly dashboards, monthly S&D analysis, industrial KPIs), improving operational visibility and enabling data-driven decisions across procurement and trading teams.
Gained hands-on exposure to Arabica coffee processing through immersive training in warehousing, milling, blending, and export logistics. Completed exhaustive training in Quality Assessment, including physical grading and sensorial analysis.
Recruited as part of the MA in International Trading, Commodity Finance & Shipping. Supported financial and accounting monitoring of a 40-vessel time charter fleet.
