Seasonal TA for Dr. Doug Needham at Redeemer University. I currently grade papers for a biology course: Physiological Psychology (PSY-336).
Responsible for overseeing parts of the children’s ministry, which includes the preparation and co-leadership of VBS and the Sunday School curriculum, as well as the oversight of volunteers, lesson planning, and administering of the ministry. Meeting weekly with the pastoral cohort to reflect and address pressing issues of the immediate, communal, and global church. Co-leading biweekly Boys Club nights, which involves mentoring boys from grades 4-8 within a Christian worldview, while also engaging them in fun activities and projects.
Currently assisting Dr. Gloria Kim and her research team out of the University of Toronto. In collaboration with a team at McMaster University, Dr. Kim and colleagues are exploring how PCR technology can be efficiently and effectively used in labs to help garner more information concerning the kinetics and thermodynamics of DNA. In using the labs at Redeemer University, my current role is in conducting PCR-fluorometry experiments that will provide the team with the fluorescent values and melting temperatures of particular photo-labelled DNA samples. Data collected is then analyzed.
Currently teaching Pre-, Intermediate Foundation, and Advanced Foundation Ballet, as well as Pre-Jazz Tap, Contemporary, and Advanced Jazz 1 at the Dance Centre. Providing technical coaching for students and helping them prepare for their ballet exams with the Royal Academy of Dance.
Currently supporting medical administration by digitizing and categorizing old patient records and current medical documents into patients’ electronic charts, using the OSCAR electronic medical record (EMR) system
