Hi! My name is Alexandra Wetzel and I am a junior at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. I recently completed a Human Resources Internship at Health Alliance Plan, a Michigan-based nonprofit health plan that is part of Henry Ford Health, and am the VP of Public Relations for UMich SHRM. Overseeing the execution of SHRM’s brand via social media, website, on-campus recruiting, Serving as the point person between PR Committee and SHRM E-board, Creating projects for PR committee members to carry out their respective job roles
-Conducted Employee Engagement and Belonging Interviews with Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) across five different Henry Ford Hospitals and presented key findings, themes, and recommendations to HR Executive Leadership -Assisted E-HR specialists in inputting and updating hundreds of BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications to ensure HR compliance -Updated Health Alliance Plan’s New Employee Orientation presentation -Coordinated intern program logistics with Intern Program Manager for the upcoming summer, including scheduling employee health screenings for over 35 interns, planning intern team-building outings, and assigning mentors within the company -Collaborated on the intern capstone project to design an AI agent for the HAP Provider Operations call center
