As a Financial Advisor my role is to develop a relationship with my clients to be able to create, plan and implement complex financial strategies. My area of focus is still within the personal banking spectrum with capabilities including business credit and investment needs. My goal is to be able to sit down with medium to high net worth clients and figure out their unique financial situations. I have more focus on independent investment strategies and complex credit needs while still maintaining my level of knowledge for personal deposit accounts. My clients deserve the best advice and that includes using my specialists to help whenever possible - including Financial Planning, Mortgage Specialists, Private and Commercial Banking! With my new transfer to Bloor and Yonge, one of the RBC's largest flagship locations my level of knowledge is useful for help mentoring junior advisors to develop their capabilities.
As a Personal Banking Advisor my role is to assist my clients in developing successful financial strategies to let them achieve their goals. This includes all avenues of banking for both personal and business clients, specifically focusing on investment, credit and deposit accounts. The position also includes leveraging partners for their areas of expertise and putting my clients with the right people. As my branch is a Denovo location, it hones our ability to multi-task as well as being a jack of all trades as we are expected to be able to handle all departments of a branch. This location allows me to focus on both my financial knowledge as well as my leadership abilities as we're able to assist in business planning for the branch as we build our clientele.
The Event Planner (or Activities Coordinator) was responsible for the planning and organization of events for both personal and business clients. This role focused on both organization and execution of events, retention of clients, client satisfaction as well as acquisition of new business. Within the company - it was my duty to implement strategies to create a positive experience for our personal parties (8-35 people) as well trying to create unique experiences for business parties (50-350 people).
The Event Coordinator was responsible for planning, budgeting, coordinating and facilitating events for students within the Vanier Residence building. I was responsible for two floors of the building at approximately 80 students. This role worked on both sides of the York Student Services - on the administrative side I was excepted to run a certain amount of events while keeping a fairly low budget in mind per event. As well as focusing on new and exciting events for the student side to keep them engaged, keep school spirit/branding high, and making the event seem fun and new.
