About

Welcome ❤️‍🔥 If you've found your way here, you're likely after one of two things: 1️⃣ To figure out who the hell I am; and/or 2️⃣ To see what I'm up to 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐚𝐦 𝐈? I’m a marketer and brand strategist known for doing things differently. I’ve spent the past decade leading marketing at some of the world’s biggest brands, including Red Bull, Squarespace and Quiksilver. I help brands cut through in crowded markets- whether that be through brand marketing, partnerships or events. But mostly? I love a good challenge. If something’s not working, or if the same old strategy isn’t moving the needle, I love to come in, review a process and shake things up. A few highlights: ➔ I led an extensive agency tender process for Quiksilver’s retail and wholesale marketing program, resulting in double-digit savings for the business ➔ I overhauled Red Bull’s local trade marketing strategy, delivering award-winning retail marketing campaigns alongside the lowest print and 3PL costs in the brand’s history ➔ I helped launch Squarespace in the Australian market, turning the region into the brand’s fastest-growing market with the highest brand awareness globally My colleagues say I bring curiosity, energy and genuine care to my work- blending strategic thinking with creative flair, whilst managing complex projects effortlessly. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐦 𝐈 𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐨? I'm building a portfolio career (translation: instead of doing one thing full-time, I'm doing multiple interesting things instead). Interesting thing one: I help global lifestyle brands win in the Australian market. What that actually looks like: ➔ I review (or create) your brand's local positioning to ensure you're cutting through with Australian consumers; ➔ I use my network to connect your brand with culturally-relevant partners and creators in Australia; ➔ I create and implement premium, curated events for your customers on the ground I work with brands in a fractional or consulting capacity- if you'd like to do something fun, send me a DM or visit my website at www.alexandraneilson.com to learn more 💌 Interesting thing two: I've launched my own community and business (Out Of Office)- a career networking community that does things differently. I wanted to create a space to help professionals who are feeling disengaged with their work, or planning out their next move.
