The Door is a midsize public relations agency with clients in both the hospitality and entertainment industry located in five states across the country. While interning I reviewed relevant news publications to track client media placements throughout the work day. Created communication materials, such as press releases, press kits, and facts sheets. Researched different trends in the media so our clients were up to date on promotional opportunities. Lastly, I assisted with and attended client and media events to further represent clients and the agency.
Congressman Quigley (D) is a representative for Cook County. During my time there I arranged events for the Congressman to interact with constituents, events including local fairs or street festivals. I promoted campaign support by sending out material and invitations for his fundraising events. Additionally, I attended those events to make sure the Congressman was represented well and operations ran smoothly. Lastly, I updated the NGP data base weekly so donors could be properly contacted.
