    Malasimbo Music & Arts Festival is the first contemporary music festival of the Philippines, launched in 2011. It takes place in Puerto Galera, on the island of Mindoro, in the Philippines. With its international and local acts, it attracts more than 30 different nationalities over 2 weekends in February/March, and has largely contributed in making Puerto Galera a prime tourist destination and highlighting its indigenous Mangyan culture by sharing their architecture, culture and arts to the festival-goers. In 2015, it was designated by the Department of Tourism of the Philippines as the official March event of the national calendar. World-class legends such as Jimmy Cliff, Joss Stone, José Gonzales, Goldie, and Robert Glasper, among others, have graced the Malasimbo grass venue, and over 40 local and international visual artists have participated in our "open-air museum" located all around the festival venue. As the Head of Sales and Marketing, I've had the opportunity, among other things, to: - lead online and print marketing campaigns - manage partnerships with brands that share our values and customer base - manage multiple sales channels including new ventures into e-commerce and brick-and-mortar stores / pop-up stands at relevant events - manage sponsor relations, from solicitation pitches to budget negotiations, drafting of contracts and daily relations - manage teams of interns and volunteers (5 full-time pre-event and 30+ during event proper)
