My writing spans literature, philosophy, and public policy. I hold a Ph.D. in English from Western University. My first book, based on my doctoral dissertation, is forthcoming from McGill-Queen’s University Press. I spent seven years at the Literary Review of Canada in various roles, including Senior Editor, and have published some fifty book reviews, essays, and peer-reviewed articles. I’ve won a National Magazine Award, and I was named one of Canada’s Top Emerging Leaders Under 40 by The Peak in 2025.
Developed integrated print–digital advertising packages and targeted social media campaigns that expanded the client base and strengthened advertiser relationships, resulting in over 100× year-over-year subscription revenue growth. Helped achieve major business gains, including a 75% rise in newsstand sales, a 65% improvement in renewal rates, and a 200% boost in total circulation. Part of the team awarded Best Magazine (Art, Literary & Culture) at the 2025 National Magazine Awards.
Produced book reviews and essays while helping shape the magazine’s voice across print, digital, and social platforms. Played an active role in cross-platform editorial strategy, contributing to content planning for the website, newsletter, and social media channels.
Led editorial content development, managing a team to produce some 50,000 words per month under tight deadlines. Expanded the magazine’s contributor network by fostering relationships with new writers. Developed an award-nominated newsletter, boosting audience engagement and retention. Represented the magazine in media interviews, including 8 with the CBC, significantly raising brand awareness.
Taught WRIT 1039: Reason & Writing, a foundational course designed to enhance students' critical thinking, analytical writing, and persuasive communication skills. Guided students through the process of developing coherent arguments, evaluating evidence, and mastering written expression for academic and professional success.
