Alexander Ghorayeb is a passionate student aspiring to work in the field of law. Raised in Dubai as a 'third-culture-kid,' Alexander was brought up in a cosmopolitan background and speaks five languages. Since a young age, Alexander strived for excellence, reflected by his strong work ethic. At the age of just 11, he was elected as the Head Boy of his primary school, and his journey for advocacy hasn't stopped since. Now, as a Student at King's College London, Alexander is building upon his plethora of leadership, management, debate, and professional work experiences to become a world-renowned lawyer. Currently, he serves as the Vice President of Professional Development at ELSA KCL, and Campus Ambassador for Milbank LLP, whilst he completes his Bachelors in Law (LLB). Outside of university, Alexander is keen to undertake numerous work placements, extra-curricular, and supra-curricular activities, such as moots, debates, and insight schemes. With a commitment and perseverance to leave a positive mark wherever he is, Alexander now embarks on this new chapter of his life as an international student, grateful for the past, and excited for the future.

• Promoted to President following a longstanding commitment since the beginning of my undergraduate degree; • Led a team of 9 student executives across 6+ departments whilst managing relationships with both the national and international bodies of ELSA; • Fostered weekly team meetings for the exchange of ideas in planning events, competitions, and other initiatives at both a local and regional level.

• Conducted extensive document analysis across multiple corporate records in both English and Arabic to identify a critical corporate restructuring date; subsequently drafted a client-focused follow-up email explaining the findings and methodology; • Comprehensively reviewed a commercial lease, locating change of control provisions, approval requirements, notice procedures, and termination consequences to assess client implications; • Supported corporate buyer-side due diligence on a Saudi acquisition by analysing the Target’s template service agreements, identifying inconsistencies, and flagging issues for the due diligence questionnaire; • Researched and synthesised 17+ regional sources covering legal developments, IPO activity, and cross-border M&A news, preparing summaries for firm-wide circulation to support market intelligence.
• Produced and curated visually engaging digital content on Canva to promote Milbank’s London events and brand presence on campus; • Developed an in-depth understanding of Milbank’s cross-border work and training contract process to confidently communicate opportunities to students and enhance interest in the firm; • Represented Milbank at the KCL Law & Justice Fair, engaging with undergraduate and postgraduate students to raise awareness of the firm’s practice areas and culture; • Spearheaded new promotional initiatives — including the launch of a dedicated Instagram page, event campaigns, and targeted communications — generating over 8,000 impressions and 100+ followers within the first term.
• Revised and developed a Client Order Form for a DIFC-incorporated AI firm, enhancing commercial terms like Acceptable Use Policy, indemnities, limitations of liability, and termination grounds, all advantageous to the client; • Amended private client wills, substituting guardian/trustee designations and proofreading Arabic translations, correcting errors including name inconsistencies as small as a hyphen. My changes were implemented for final stamping; • Reviewed a Service Agreement, noticing inconsistent clauses which were subsequently amended. Strengthened client-focused clauses by adding indemnities, defining terms (like Commitment Period, Agreement Period, Confidential Information, etc.), and adding a “No Exclusivity” clause in favour of the client, all checked by a Senior Associate; • Completed government work permit forms, verifying passports/government IDs/trade licenses. Leveraged my close attention to ensure no errors in the form were made, and flagged an expired trade license which was amended; • Participated in client meetings, diligently creating bullet-point notes which highlighted the client's objectives, concerns, and issues to follow-up on. Subsequently drafted client-focused follow-up emails outlining CVML's scope of work.
