Recruited to produce technical drawings, risk assessments and method statement documents before projects are commenced. Used engineering knowledge to propose solutions to client’s specifications and communicate these with clients to investigate options for work to be undertaken by ALE. Required to travel nationally and internationally to assist on site in both the bidding and execution of projects. • Lead engineer for successful bids: I have been lead engineer in the bidding process of multiple contracts which we have won due, in part, to the professionalism of the drawings and associated documents. • Lead engineer on site: I have lead the execution of projects on site when required on projects worth upwards of £50,000 to ALE, being given responsibility for the installation of items worth in excess of £1 million. • Planned and managed students: I have planned and overseen the activities of the incoming industrial placement students.
Recruited to help work on documents to be submitted for the bidding of a multi-million pound contract for National Grid. Individually responsible for investigating special considerations Morgan Sindall would take due to the work being carried out in area of natural beauty. Worked as part of a team to prepare crossings, traffic regulations and works access. Produced and checked technical drawings for bidding of multiple projects. • Creation of a professional Google Earth document: Individually created a Google Earth document that would be submitted with the bid in order to showcase the mitigations that would be put in place along the route, a first for Morgan Sindall. • Created accompanying appendices documents: Individually created entire appendices sections for the documents to be submitted as part of the bid.
