Alex is currently a Managing Director at Dune Real Estate Partners and is focused on the sourcing, evaluating, underwriting, and execution of new investment opportunities, while also leading the due diligence process and helping to execute the business plans and value creation strategies for some of Dune’s existing investments. Prior to joining Dune, Alex was a Vice President for QuadReal, a group which manages a $61.2 billion global portfolio on behalf of its stakeholders. Prior to that, Alex was a Principal of California Commercial Healthcare Real Estate (www.calcomm.org) and focused on the acquisition and development of medical office investments across California and the Western states. California Commercial has over 30 years of experience in the medical office space as an operator, developer, and property manager. Previously, Alex worked as a Vice President of Angelo Gordon's Real Estate Private Equity funds and was responsible for the acquisition, asset management, and disposition of real estate investments across all real estate product types in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, Portland, and medical office. He performed a key role in the acquisition and asset management of over $1.9 billion and 7.6 million square feet of real estate assets. - 15 years of real estate private equity experience in office, multi-family, industrial, medical office, life sciences, covered land, adaptive re-use, residential land development, retail, hotel. - Identified and executed real estate investments for Angelo Gordon on behalf of a series of core plus funds (Core Plus II-IV), value-add/opportunistic funds (Realty VII-IX), and Realty X, which targets core plus, value-add, and opportunistic returns. Total equity commitments for the funds exceeded $9.6 billion.
