About

Europe's leading authority in impact networking and community building + cross-sectoral collaboration. SDG17 expert Founder and investor. ------ It was a long journey until I found my purpose of training impact people to build powerful networks for good causes. I started 30 years ago when I founded KissFM as Germany's first DJ radio station, building a creative network in Berlin's subculture. When I became too exhausted to spend all my nights in Berlin clubs, I started various print and online magazines, continued with an agency, co-founded Berlin's club network Club-Commission and finally ended up as head of Berlin's official Embassy Network: Due to our government moving from Bonn to Berlin (starting 1999), my organization welcomed and integrated diplomatic missions in the new capital, (don't ask, long story). In the diplomatic world, I learned 3 things: 1. Networks run this world. 2. The bad guys always have the good networks. 3. If you want to make a change, better have a better network. This is why in 2011 I founded my own "Dictyonomy Institute for Sustainable Networking" and the Urban Network "AusserGewöhnlich Berlin" with the aim to promote SDG17 of the United Nations worldwide. I trained C-levels of many big corporations (like PORSCHE, Mercedes, Deutsche Bahn, Credit Suisse, Julius Behr, etc.) and made money with spreading know-how about breaking silos and building cross-sectoral connections. But I wasn't satisfied: Instead of really making an impact according to Agenda2030, I helped the powerful to get more power. This is why in 2021 I mad a decision: I transferred everything I had into a non-profit foundation. And I created 17_ACADEMY, world's first educational organization to exclusively train and certify impact StartUps and ESG managers how to change the world with networks. Networks with impact. Today, I am happy. Every day, I teach people how to connect globally, how to build lobbies for change, how to transform our economy to a sustainable economy. Together, we can make this planet a really nice place.
