I conduct research on safe and intelligent human-robot interaction in hazardous environments as part of the NSF REU program, working under Dr. Lingfeng Tao. My work focuses on creating a drink serving robot that models human intent using multimodal sensory data (visual, thermal, touch) and enhancing safety and comfort in human-robot collaboration. I actively design and implement teleoperation strategies, conduct experiments with physical robotic systems, and evaluate performance using custom metrics to assess safety, reliability, and user satisfaction.
