Alexander Ritter is a Partner of the Intellectual Property Practice Group of the Firm's Munich office and leads the German Patent Litigation Practice. Being an attorney at law who also has graduated with a master's degree in computer science, his technical background allows him to advise clients on matters involving patent infringement and validity. He represents clients before the German infringement courts, the German Federal Patent Court, and the German and European patent offices. Alexander’s practice focuses on patent litigation, which includes infringement, nullity, cancellation and opposition proceedings. He also advises on licensing agreements and FRAND licensing as well as in tech transactions. Alexander has experience in cases involving electronics, mobile communication, mechanics, medical devices, chemistry, and biotechnology. He also has in-depth knowledge in the field of computer-implemented inventions including operating systems, communication protocols and embedded systems.
