About

Strategic leader, defense expert, and public sector innovator with more than 25 years of experience spanning military operations, defense policy, logistics, and cross-sector modernization. Currently serving as Deputy Head of the Material Management Department in the Austrian Federal Ministry of Defence, I lead capability development, digital procurement transformation, and multilateral cooperation aligned with national, EU, and NATO frameworks. My professional path includes leadership in complex international operations—Afghanistan, Mali, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo—under NATO, EU, and UN mandates. In parallel, I’ve held high-level policy and planning roles, including Austria’s EU Council Presidency (EU18), NATO interoperability initiatives, and the modernization of strategic platforms such as LOGIS in BiH and the BBG e-Shop within Austria’s military network. I bring significant private sector experience from earlier leadership roles at Eaton, Schrack Technik, Ascom, and Schiebel, where I managed public safety technology, export markets, and defense-industry solutions across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. This dual-sector insight enables me to bridge institutional needs with industrial capability and innovation. Academically, I combine applied economics, business administration, and public procurement expertise. I am currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration (MPA) at the Helmut-Schmidt University / University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg, focusing on international procurement law, leadership, and administrative governance. I also hold an MBA and a Master’s in Applied Economics from the University of Klagenfurt, as well as an engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics from HTL Hollabrunn. My academic profile is complemented by specialized NATO training in operational planning, logistics, and PSYOPS. Decorated with national and international honors, I am driven by mission success, institutional resilience, and accountable leadership at the intersection of public service, defense, and strategic innovation.
