Sir Alexander Franco Gallo, KR (Alex Gallo) is the Youth Ambassador of the Philippines in Italy, working with the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in the Office of the Undersecretary for Civilian Security and Consular Affairs, advising Undersecretary (Deputy Minister), Assistant Secretary, and overseas missions on youth affairs. He participated in the Philippine Economic Panel at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and spoke at the Milan Longevity Summit, in addition to his institutional addresses. He has been recognised as an ISPI Young Talent by the Italian Institute for International Political Studies, is a Fellow of the Diplomatic-Academic Community of Practice, and was awarded by the Republic of the Philippines the 1st-degree rank in the Order of the Knights of Rizal. His main projects focus on collaboration between the academic and public sectors, promoting meaningful youth engagement, and fostering rapport between overseas Filipinos and the Philippine Government. In his academic life, he is part of a team of students consulting for the Directorate of Bocconi University, is a Student Ambassador of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and has studied in the Ivy League at Cornell University. Before working with the Department, Alexander was active within the diplomatic community in the Philippines, organising and contributing to multiple events with H.E. Louise Araneta-Marcos, First Lady of the Republic of the Philippines. He has also worked with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, first in the Political and Economic Office of the Embassy of Italy in Manila, then as a delegate to the ADB Board of Governors Meeting and various ADB forums. Among other responsibilities, he volunteer consulted with the United Nations Youth Office (UNYO) ahead of the 80th UN General Assembly and the launch of the 2026 Youth Compass, and coordinated foreign Government Ministers' delegations for the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympic Games.
