The Master's program in Innovation Communication is a postgraduate program. It imparts advanced knowledge in applied communication science with a focus on strategic corporate and organizational communication for innovations, which includes innovative products, solutions, and services as well as societal and social innovations. One component of this program is the lecture “Scenario Management.”
As part of the "Scenario Management" course in the "Strategic Management" module, students from different countries learn the basics of future-oriented, networked and strategic thinking and jointly develop scenarios on a specific topic.
Against the backdrop of fundamental change and global challenges in tourism (climate change, digitalisation, demographics) for local, regional and supra-regional holiday and living destinations, students should be able to understand, network and design economic, ecological and social concepts for future- and sustainability-oriented business models in tourism. In the seminar "Future Scenarios in Tourism", students develop and interpret their own scenarios on a specific topic, building on the basics of thinking in scenarios.
The inter- and transdisciplinary Master's degree programme has taught the basics and methods for researching, constructing and reflecting on ideas about the future in society, politics and business. The course "Scenario planning in practice" teaches the software-supported procedure for developing and interpreting scenarios - partly together with practice partners using specific tasks.
