  • Production Support Engineer at UPC Insurance
    Mar 2020 - Jun 2021 · 1 yr 4 mos

In a critical Corporate IT role, my team and I held end-to-end responsibility for addressing production issues across all products and internal functionalities, ensuring continuous service availability and smooth operations. Part of my diverse portfolio included managing security and compliance issues, organizing networking events, maintaining access/service accounts, and leading unique, high-impact projects. One notable project involved migrating over 3TB of data from a legacy claims system to a file storage software, Hyland. I harnessed the power of UiPath RPA bots, operating on dedicated virtual machines, to facilitate this migration. These bots operated tirelessly, transferring claim data from the file store to Hyland via secure SFTP protocols. This innovative solution, executed over a span of five months, culminated in successful migration and storage of all files into Hyland. Further, I configured intuitive navigation within Hyland, enabling internal employees to efficiently locate and access legacy claim data. This pivotal role empowered me to consistently deliver innovative solutions, ensuring the seamless functioning of our IT infrastructure.

  • CapTel Service Specialist at CapTel Service Specialists
    Mar 2018 - Sep 2018 · 7 mos

In my role as a part-time CapTel Service Specialist, I had the privilege of enhancing communication for individuals with hearing impairments by providing real-time phone conversation captions. Leveraging state-of-the-art voice-to-text software, I ensured clients received instant transcriptions of their conversations on a dedicated screen on their CapTel caption telephones. My responsibilities involved attentively listening to the dialogues, and meticulously repeating the conversation of the other party into a microphone. This precise task required me to harness my communication skills, empathy, and technical acumen, thus making a substantial difference in our clients' lives. However, following my relocation to St. Pete, the logistics of commuting to Tampa for my shifts became increasingly challenging. Despite the valuable experiences and incentives offered by the part-time role, the practical difficulties in maintaining the commute necessitated a transition.
