One of these collaborations earned the AriZoni Theatre Award in Original Music Composition for an interpretation of Gertrude Stein's "Ida: A Novel" under the direction Mario Yniguez. I work with students in two capacities: The study of flow: development of improvisation fundamentals and technique. The study of classical music: development of music theory knowledge and classical literature. • Researched the social dimensions of collaboration in science, creativity, and catalysts for successful synthesis in groups. • Developed data models and frameworks in Collaborative Group Research. • Synthesized standardized sociological methods, data from newly developed sociometers, and ethnographic observations of 12 teams (6-23 participants) to develop new frameworks for analysis. • Applied data mining techniques, statistical analyses, and ethnographic trends to create illustrations and analyses for publications/conferences using Excel, SPSS, and R. • Explored correlations between 64 variables including body movement, speech mirroring, proximity, and face-to-face interactions in order to construct a scalable process for sociometer data between international synthesis centers. • Analyses and visualizations were presented at several conferences including the Summer institute of the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis in Santa Barbara, Society for Social Studies of Science in San Diego and Denver, and the Annual Meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Boston. Results were published in Sociological Methods and Research, a 'Top 3' journal in Sociology and Mathematical Modeling.
