An award winning MMath graduate with a First-Class Honours degree. Final year project focused on the mathematics of RSA encryption and Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC), including programming ECC calculations. A consistent record of high academic achievement, flair for creativity and proficiency in Python, MATLAB and R with experience in SAS, C# and SQL. Seeking a role to utilize my mathematical and programming skillset. Whilst studying for my Masters in Mathematics at the University of Reading (UoR), I also worked part time at a multinational corporation where I have gained experience with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) across most EU Countries. I have been responsible for ensuring legal compliance with regard to retention of sensitive employee data (hard copy and soft copy files). I also have held a part time role as a teaching assistant at Kumon, where I was responsible for providing guidance, feedback and coaching to higher level mathematics students. I continue to work at Kumon as a helper, on an ad hoc basis. I received a UoR Chancellor's Award. Which showcases academic excellence, with only around 70 awards being given out across the whole of the university a year. Along with receiving two UoR Departmental Achievement Awards for excellent year 1 and year 2 results (90% and 80% on average, respectively). I then went on to receive the MMath project prize for the best project in the year.
• Performed Geant4 Monte Carlo simulations, utilising our in house custom software to predict Muon flux rates. • Developed a range of applications using Python software including: Data analysis tools, automated workflows for the downloading of LiDAR data and satellite imagery, web app interface using Streamlit and an Android application for controlling survey systems built with Kivy and KivyMD. • Analysis of experimental survey data, utilising data science libraries such as pandas. • Analysis and conversion of LiDAR from geotiff formats into 3D-Models using QGIS, GDAL and Rasterio, with UV mapping applied for satellite image overlays. • Developed Flask APIs using GET requests for the retrieval of survey data. • Supported the development of internal processes and tools, including backup automation tools for our data management plan and IT asset management system (Snipe-IT). • Issue management tracking using GitHub; reviewing code with peers on large scale projects. • Participated in team problem-solving discussions, contributing to hardware solutions, software debugging strategies and collaborated on large scale projects. • Streamlined steps of analysis software significantly reducing analysis time; allowing for rapid feasibility assessments on projects. • Prepared and delivered technical presentations/reports on research and simulations. • Conducted survey data collection during scheduled overnight possessions of railway tunnels. • Acted as a company representative at a university careers fair, engaging with students and promoting company opportunities.
