I bring software applications and features to life. My playing field is SaaS for e-commerce companies. I created software and features used by players such as Idealo, Zalando, REWE Group, Home24, RTL, Pro7, H&M, IKEA, Microsoft and many more; primarily software for performance marketing, social media marketing, or productivity. What I do: - Formulating business objectives, creating and improving prioritization frameworks, prioritizing work, aligning teams around priorities - Working out frontend and backend concepts, iterating on concepts together with product management and design; bringing modern, responsive and engaging UIs alive - Ensuring that concepts fulfill end-user goals; ensuring that concepts fulfill own business objectives - Establishing a deep understanding of end-user needs, and business impact for end-users - Concepting secure, reliable state-of-the-art backend: defining the right architecture (distributed vs. centralized), defining the right communication patterns (push vs. pull, streams, webhooks), and bringing these architectures alive - Leading software engineering squads towards outcomes, milestones, and business objectives; implementing user stories and features in a team or independently - Ensuring software systems are easy to maintain, easy to extend, easy to scale, free of technical debt, and have a low cost-of-ownership to the team - by making foresighted architecture decisions and following state-of-the-art patterns of world-class companies such as Netflix, Uber, Zalando, Spotify etc. - backward and forward compatibility, idempotency, immutability, monitoring and alerting, etc. - Ensuring software systems meet enterprise needs - security, reliability, team management, flexible master data structures, etc.
The simplest way to set your quarterly roadmap. Prioritize projects and ideas. Engage your team and customers into the planning process. Use your own prioritization framework, customize priorities and make the best decisions.
