As the Director of Racquets for the Broadlands Community I report directly to the Vice President, COO & President/founder of Blue Chip Sports Management. I oversee the daily racquets operations & bookings of 9 hard tennis courts through out the Broadlands community My role as director includes and is not limited to: ensuring constant growth of adult/junior tennis & pickleball programming, offering free monthly member socials to build rapport within the community and foster relationships to spread Blue Chip's motto of innovation| excellence| dedication". I am also in charge of all aspects of marketing- creating marketing flyers to promote programming, social & special events & tournaments, as well as contribute monthly updates in the community print newsletter. I also lead a small staff consisting of the Director of Pickleball as well as part time tennis & pickleball teaching professionals. Prior to becoming Director at Blue Chip I spent 3 years as the Assistant Director of Racquet Sports for the Glenmore community, operated by Affinity Management and served under the Director of Racquets. During my time at Glenmore I became familiar with pro shop operations, inventory purchasing/input, marketing( paper & digital), budgeting, and assumed responsibility for running member social events/tournaments for tennis, pickleball and platform tennis. Performance metric highlights include establishing 2x Ladies 2.5 USTA teams- something the club never had in its 30 year history within 1.5 years. Many have now successfully moved up to 3.0 USTA tennis. I managed to double the pickleball program involvement from ~75 dedicated players to nearly ~175 dedicated players (and still growing) involved in programs, clinics, holiday social events and tournaments within a span of 2 years and rapid growth was still occurring. As a result I was able to successfully resurface and expand the 4 pickleball courts into 6 pickleball courts. I was also able to grow junior tennis involvement & ladies tennis involvement by nearly 40% & still growing. Prior to my Assistant Director role I was able to work under some of the best Directors & Head Tennis Professionals in Northern Virginia to enhance my own professional experience and learn more administrative off court duties, as well as the ability to lead programs, clinics and run tournaments.
Responsible for growing membership programming for the Glenmore Community by offering member pickleball, tennis, and platform tennis member/guest social events through out the year. Another key responsibillity includes brainstorming,marketing and implementation of small group fitness & membership personal training while reporting any and all program ideas and feedback to the Director of Tennis and key stakeholders of Virginia Club Holding LLC. Assisting the Director of Tennis with inventory counts, calendar year budget planning and event planning as well as marketing implementation of all Glenmore racquet sports events
Full time Assistant Tennis Professional tasked with performing duties assigned by the Director of Tennis such as: -Collaborating with other departments to develop client relationships and maintain long term member engagement through organizing social events such as tennis mixers, happy hour social tennis, and member/member & member/guest club championship events. -Responsible for driving adult engagement and program growth and participation by 25% through clinics teaching tennis fundamentals including cardio tennis and stroke mechanics/strategy. -Lead professional of Creighton Farms junior tennis program (ages 4-16) tasked with growing program participation by 35%
