Moving out of my family home at the age of 16, I lived with a host family which allowed me to attend college as part of a programme suited to fit my trainings around my academic schedule. This has made me a more independent person and has undoubtedly matured me at a much faster rate. This has also enabled me to develop my time-management skills. I have been selected as captain on numerous occasions for various teams, further developing my leadership skills as a result. One of my proudest moments was representing the Czech Republic in the European Championships and this is something I hope to be able to continue in the future. Complementing my rugby experience, I have enjoyed volunteer coaching younger age groups at my local club which has enhanced my communication skills to large groups. SPOKEN LANGUAGE ABILITY Born to a Czech Mother and an English Father, I have developed a fluent language ability in two dissimilar languages from birth. This invaluable skill has enabled me to communicate to the Czech members of my family and the international rugby team fluently. This is something genuinely important to me. Translating for family members from a young age has enriched my ability to multitask as well as embellishing my language memory. This skill I intend to continually advance.
Year 1 - Financial Reporting Year 2 - Finance Procurement
• Experienced the fast-paced environment of working in a large corporation • Daily Bank account reconciliation process using Reval (Treasury Management System) • Trained UPS Asia Treasury Managers on the process of account reconciliation and miscellaneous transaction assignment for a period of two weeks. This was after only 4 months in the role. • Designated administrator for all Citibank related enquiries (users/reporting) using CitiDirect platform • Familiarised myself with the format of MT940 bank statements and how to read/upload them • Co-ordinated a self-audit on six months’ worth of European Regional Treasury Centre’s FX operations • Became an expert in TRS (a system used to add, remove or amend user’s current banking access) and the use of SQL to run large reports • Trained managers from UPS India on the process of setting users up in banking platforms • Became educated in accounting strings and how they work to group transactions. • Carried out the recruitment process for the next interns (CV’s and interviews) • Trusted with ensuring all invoices were signed by correct parties and paid on time • Appropriated administrator for the entire office’s group mailbox • Trained two new interns entirely whilst continuing with my own tasks • Ensured positive relationships were kept with banking partners and entity managers worldwide. • Enhanced my Excel knowledge • Worked closely with In House Bank team daily to carry out ad-hoc tasks
