Acting as Project Manager and Client’s Agent for a number of prestigious companies including: Tesco, The FA (Wembley Stadium), Costa Coffee, London Legacy Development Corporation, and various local authorities. Joined in July 2017 on the Graduate Development Scheme, and quickly progressed to Project Manager. Involvement in a multitude of projects within various sectors: residential, sport/leisure (Wembley Stadium), retail (Tesco and Costa Coffee), commercial/office, and infrastructure (Olympic Legacy Site). Working for a number of different clients including local authorities and developers (Linkcity/Bouygues UK). Project values ranging from £100k to £100m. Undertaking Project Manager and Employer’s Agent roles throughout all RIBA Stages of Work, gaining most experience in the Construction Stage. Valued ability to jump straight in to assist colleagues with projects not previously worked on, with limited background knowledge required. Also worked within the retail sector for one of Stace’s largest clients: Tesco. Undertaking the Project Management role on behalf of the Client for the delivery of fit-out and renewal projects at over 100 live stores nationwide. Roles include: leading and chairing meetings (scoping, progress and handover); continual communication to store and stakeholders; day-to-day administration of each project; chasing and arranging attendance of required contractors; and taking the lead on the organisation of resolving issues. Being the first point of contact for each project in store with regular, direct communication with Contractors, Suppliers and Store Managers and Personnel along with the Client Team. Working within this sector, due to the fast-paced nature of retail, skills were continuously developed, such as the ability to quickly resolve multiple issues and how to balance an ever-growing workload. Adjusting to, what was, a completely new working environment and method of practice, now with an in-depth understanding of the client’s requirements and procedures.
As interim employment before commencing a career in Project Management, with the skills gathered from a season as a chalet host, previous part-time work progressed to full-time Head Chef. Responsibilities included: planning and organising the weekly menu, managing food deliveries, running the kitchen and preparing food, leading and training kitchen staff team, and maintaining front of house on behalf of the landlord. Proving dependability, managing all aspects of the pub whilst the landlords were away, for extended periods of time. Building relationships with customers and maintaining the restaurant’s No.1 rating on Trip Advisor. As a team, were awarded Essex Life Best Family Dining in 2016, having previously claimed Best Traditional Pub in Essex.
Employed for 10 weeks as shore-based engineer and skipper, dealing with 27-54 ft sailing yachts. The work included general yacht, tender and engine maintenance, and yacht delivery. Assisting on boat engine rebuilds and replacements. The ability to interact with clients was essential, offering sail training and assisting with any problems.
