ALEX OCHIENG OTIENO is the Founding Director and CEO of GAMERS GROOVE ENTERTAINMENT LTD. He is one of the youngest Executive Directors at one of the most successful talent-identifying, nurturing, managing, and marketing firm in East and Central Africa. He is also an actor, scriptwriter, film and music producer, and director. He has been a TV host at Ebru TV Kenya and still hosts several other online shows on various platforms and has been a Reality TV show judge for a number of talent competition shows among others across the country. In his quest to identify, nurture and manage talents, Alex through Gamers Groove Entertainment Ltd has established a number of avenues and/or organizations to ensure everybody is reached and ventured in over 5 counties in a very short span of time; he’s sharp and open-minded. Alex Otieno is also a co–founder of Peer Mentors Association Kenya, a youth empowerment organization whose aim is to mentor four million youths by 2030 and has served as the National Director for 3 years before resigning in late 2020 to pursue Gamers Groove Entertainment full-time. He has mentored over 70,000 students in over 30 schools and colleges across 32 counties countrywide: Homa Bay County, Kisumu County, Nairobi County, Kiambu County, Kisii County, Migori County, and Kajiado County, among others. Over a span of over 3 years in the corporate sector, Alex has built a reputation as one of Kenya's most outstanding business transformative leaders, a mentor & a go-getter. Alex is a Bachelor’s Degree Holder in BSc. Microbiology and Biotechnology at the University of Nairobi. Alex is a certified mentor, his passion for transformation, business, leadership, and career mentorship, and youth empowerment has seen him serving on various boards and committees e.g. Ministry of Education’s Mentorship Policy Review, KICD’s CBC Curriculum Review, High School Boards, among others. Alex through Gamers Groove Entertainment Ltd. is also supporting hundreds of needy special institutions like nursing homes & children's homes through the Gamers Charity Foundation. He has also served as a youth leader in Homa Bay County as the Chairperson of the County Youth Administration and Legal Affairs Committee. During his campus life at the University of Nairobi, he served in various positions; Chairperson of the University of Nairobi Microbiology & Biotechnology Students Association (NUMSA), Faculty Representative for the Microbiology and Biotechnology Program, and School of Biological Sciences Representatives, among others.
