Provides expertise in New Product Development (NPD), delivering concept generation, DfM and well engineered solutions validated through FMEA, FEA simulation, rapid/traditional prototyping, production trials and performance test plans. Ensures compliance needs are met, passing international ergonomic and safety standards. Approval of Supplier Tool GA design and commission of manufacture. Supports Quality through production and post launch issues. Database management Collaboration with external design agencies, and international suppliers across Europe and Asia. Leads international engineering support teams.
Gaining design experience through wide ranging projects in various manufacturing techniques, small and large injection moulded polymer parts; high pressure die cast aluminium and zinc components; compression moulded rubber, tube bending and sheet metal fabrication; wood, MDF, MFC; extrusion profile design; rapid/traditional prototyping and testing.
