- Provide PRN services to various skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation hospitals under the Select Rehab umbrella of care - Evaluate and treat cognitive disorders, communicative disorders, dysphagia, swallowing disorders, voice disorders, and other disorders associated with dementia, Parkinson's, CVA/TIA, falls, tracheotomy, and intubation - Use Casamba to manage patient documents and maintain productivity of 85-90% - Screen patients as needed and as referred by other professionals - Refer patients to occupational, physical, or respiratory therapists, as well as dieticians and nurses as needed - Provide training and information to caregivers and staff regarding strategies for swallowing, cognition, and safety
Provide speech language services to the preschool aged population in home and daycare/school settings.
- Provide speech pathology services in the school setting for grades K-5 and 9-12 - Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech and communication disorders according the DSM V and ASHA standards - Treat articulation, fluency, expressive/receptive language disorders, social and pragmatic skills, selective mutism, auditory processing, and apraxia - Treat students with various diagnoses and disorders including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, apraxia, cerebral palsy, hearing loss, emotional disturbance, cognitive impairment, traumatic brain inury (TBI), and multiple disabilities - Develop alternative and augmentative communication as required including PECS, picture exchange, sign language, communication boards, and high tech devices - Schedule and hold IEP meetings with parents and staff in a timely fashion - Comply with child count standards - Maintain 100% compliance using EasyIEP - Develop appropriate goals and objectives for students based on PA Common Core Standards and developmental stages -Provide training and home practice for parents and caregivers to increase and support generalization of skills across settings
