Created and opened CCP in June 2009. My team closed Ocotillo High School and opened Crestview to create pathways for more low income students to higher education, whether it be university, community college or technical school levels. Our goal was to give more low income students the ability to earn entry into higher education and improve the academic quality for those students in a small, safe environment. Duties include: budget management, scheduling, curriculum management, overseeing daily operations of the school, student recruitment, public relations, event planning, human resources.
Placed as the principal of Ocotillo High School in order to increase academic achievement and create a stronger community for the school. The school was an alternative high school that had several principals in a short time span and needed to be restructured. After serving in the position for two years, my administrative team began working on the creation of a different academic program for the school and developed Crestview College Preparatory High School. We closed Ocotillo immediately following the graduation of the 2009 school year.
