San Antonio, Texas, United States
I’m a seasoned media professional and meteorologist with over 40 years of experience serving the San Antonio community on-air—starting at KENS in 1983 and currently at KABB Fox 29 since 1996. My passion is delivering accurate, clear, and trustworthy weather forecasts that help keep families and businesses safe and informed. Beyond broadcasting, I am the co-founder of the National Tropical Weather Conference, the number one tropical meteorology conference for media. I bring a deep commitment to education. I’ve spent 40+ years as an elementary school teacher and university professor, including creating and leading the meteorology program at the University of the Incarnate Word. This unique combination of science education and meteorology allows me to translate complex weather phenomena into accessible, actionable insights. I’m passionate about fostering weather literacy and preparedness, whether through forecasts, community engagement, or academic programs. Let’s connect if you’re interested in weather science, education, or community outreach initiatives.
