Talented and highly motivated engineer with a diverse background in design and manufacturing engineering. Experienced in designing and manufacturing products in the medical and industrial equipment space. I have a passion for process improvement and creating novel designs/solutions to consumer needs.
I assisted in the maintenance and upkeep of the lab equipment available in the mechanical engineering labs. This equipment included Bridgeport mills, Lathes, CNC machines and other metal working equipment. Another responsibility of mine was the lead student fabricator. Through this role I was responsible working closely with professors to develop equipment and prop solutions for their lab experiments and then turn those solutions into tangible items. During this role I furthered my skills in metal and wood fabrication, communication and 3D modeling.
During winter break (J-Term) I was selected by engineering staff and professors to lead a team of engineering students to complete projects in the mechanical and electrical engineering labs at the University of Saint Thomas. I was responsible for planning projects, assigning tasking to those who worked for me as well as validating the work of these employees. I gained skills in communication, management and planning.
-Assisted professor with class projects and electrical circuit troubleshooting. -Guided students through technical projects. -Graded homework/Tests/Quizzes.
While assisting in the research and development of novel plastic based materials I operated a twin screw extruder and an industrial injection molding machine. I have learned the value of time management and the importance of deadlines as it pertains to customer satisfaction and repeat business. Through this experience I have gained skills in quality control and technical problem solving.
