Alex is a Principal Director at Accenture with sixteen years experience in designing and delivering global transformational change programmes into Tech, Media and Telecoms organisations. He previously worked for Deloitte and EY, leading global finance change and transformation programmes. Alex is a chartered CIMA accountant with a specialist focus on creating value through true business partnering, building future proof Finance Operating Models and GBS centres that leverage advancing technologies to unlock sustainable efficiencies and growth opportunities.
Alex has joined Accenture as a Principal Director within the US CFO & Enterprise Value team to deliver AI led reinventions for client across the Communications, Media and Technology sector.
Alex joined the Finance Transformation team on secondment to drive development of Finance Strategy and Controllership GBS capabilities, lead new market opportunities and enable complex CAO level transformation engagements with clients across the TMT sector.
Alex was a Director in the CFO Advisory group with Deloitte UK. He specialises in Future Operating Model Change, GBS Transformation and Technology adoption, leading the TMT sector for his group enabling campaign focus and growth opportunities. In addition, Alex was the Chair of the Controllership Operating Committee overseeing GTM, recruitment, training, comms and quality procedures.
Alex was a Senior Manager in the Performance Improvement practice, with a specific focus on digital transformation, operating model and GBS change across finance and operations for clients in the TMT sector. He successfully designed and delivered multiple complex transformation engagements and is a thought leader in Enterprise digital finance optimisation, operating model transformation and GBS delivery
Alex developed and implemented a Contract margin optimisation function within the Global Service LoB for BT Group. He successfully deployed and managed a global team of 24 to assess, identify and recover margin and revenue leakage across c.400 bespoke complex global contracts in FY14/15. He was heavily engaged with senior executives across the business and led achievement of targets to create a best in class function.
Alex was the Finance lead on four Local and Devolved Government contracts in BT Global Services. He was responsible for the delivery of all financial reporting and management reporting across the programmes covering risk management, profit protection strategies, headcount reduction planning and acted as a Finance Business Partner to the operational delivery teams providing advice and support for ongoing business activities. Alex was also key in the delivery of financial models to lead on customer negotiations.
Alex was working in the London 2012 Finance team managing the monthly financial, management and customer accounting activities. He has provided a key role in defining the structure and provision of financial reporting to support the month end process and developed Cost to Complete (CTC) models to aid the quarterly CTC submissions across strands and Lines of Business. Alex worked on the client site and has developed strong relationships with the customer.
