An adviser and paraplanner. As a former wealth adviser, I used to spend hours on manual note-taking. When preparing advice to go to paraplanning, I spent so much time doing so that I might as well have just done the SoA myself. AFA Pulse is about uniting as a community to support each other but also to stand up in support of the advisers we work with to help our clients. Pulse empowers paraplanners to feel more connected in our community, to share our unique voice and to collaborate through sharing resources and learnings. The Pulse State Chair is a role with responsibility for providing state-based strategic leadership of the AFA Pulse Community of Practice. The key strategic outcome for AFA Pulse is to create relevance and engagement between AFA Members that fit within the target community of paraplanners. Together with the National Practice Development Manager, I oversee 50 financial planning practices under Total Financial Solutions. My main objectives are to implement solutions and offerings at the licensee level that will drive productivity, efficiency, profitability and a sense of community and values for these firms. I also coach new advisers to help them become profitable for the business employing them. With sound experience in back office financial planning, client facing advising and experience in fintech digital advice I believe I can offer valuable knowledge around successfully growing businesses.
