I am a researcher, curator, and project manager with an interest in the dialogues between contemporary art, ecology, and science. Over the past five years, I have worked in artistic and cultural production as a curator, producer, and project manager, developing exhibitions, artist residencies, and public programs, and coordinating European projects supported by Creative Europe and Erasmus+. From a critical and practice-based perspective, I conceive curatorship as an ethical and political space that extends beyond exhibition-making, engaging with relational processes, communal care, symbolic repair, and institutional reconfiguration. I'm currently completing a PhD in Art History at the University of Barcelona, and I am a member of the research group Art, Globalization, Interculturality (AGI) and of the project Visuality and Geo-aesthetics in the Era of the Ecosocial Crisis. Analytical Approaches (VIGEO). My research focuses on the relationships between contemporary art, political ecology, communal care, social agency, and ethics, with an emphasis on post/anti-extractivist imaginaries, decolonial perspectives, and practices of epistemic justice. Contemporary Art & Extractivist Culture, organized by the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lleida and the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Barcelona, is the first conference of its kind. It brings together researchers, artists, and curators who explore the relationships between contemporary art and extractivist logics. The event offers a transdisciplinary space to analyze how artistic practices denounce, imagine, and transform the impacts of extractivism in social, ecological, and cultural contexts, fostering narratives of resistance, ecosocial justice, and post-extractivist alternatives.
Project Description: The E-ART Project seeks to promote sustainability and climate awareness through contemporary artistic practices, engaging both the cultural and public sectors in addressing ecological challenges. One of the central objectives is the identification of methodologies that are sustainable from social, political, and ethical perspectives. Particular attention is given to the environmental impact of materials used in the artistic production process, which are investigated through art residencies, workshops, and round table events. Project description: The Professional Media Presence (PMP) project aimed to help artists with fewer opportunities to claim their professional digital space, creating a safe space to learn, share, collaborate, and find new opportunities. PMP invites and engages artists in online seminars, workshops, residencies, and exhibitions, and creates various tools for learning. Partner: 1. Project Description: The Theatre in Palm project is a European platform dedicated to the performing arts, bringing together twelve partners from across Europe to support emerging artists and foster interdisciplinary collaboration and professional development. The initiative is characterized by a rich programme of art residencies, workshops, lectures, seminars, and both online and on-site events. These activities are specifically designed to explore the intersections between ecology, social justice, and science, positioning artistic practice as a critical tool for addressing contemporary societal and environmental challenges through performing art.
